Kristina’s Must-Have Holiday Gift Guide

The Holidays can be a verystressful time. (Unless you’re me, I love them and you can’t break my spirit!) My trick is to set the bar low and slowly give better gifts every year.

It’s a great feeling when you find the perfect gift for someone you love and watch them open it. Gift giving can also be really stressful and induce massive amounts of anxiety (don’t do that to your heart) which is why I’ve put together a gift guide with some options for you. Most of these options are pretty androgynous, so they can be for anyone (all of them can be for me if you’re wondering). I must say that Inventory is a great magazine for men’s styling. If you have a stylish guy in your life, or are just interested in men’s fashion, this subscription is a great gift. The Uniform Wares watch from Need Supply? Be still my heart. And the Everlane cashmere sweatshirt? Are you kidding me? Yes, please. I will happily borrow that from my boyfriend—after I give it to him out of the kindness of my heart.

To make this year even morespecial, I propose writing a heartfelt card with your presents. Not only does it make the receiver feel great, but, according to psychologists, it’s one of the best and quickest ways to feel happier yourself. In a recent study, psychologists assert that expressing gratitude instantly spikes your happiness. Those who came into the experiment the most unhappy saw the largest spike in their happiness upon expressing gratitude to someone close to them.
